what i have learned from this project?
from this project i have learned a lot about stop motion videos, i now understand how long it takes to create a single short scene and how hard it is to maintain the models in good condition.
 i have also found out a lot about the software i used, iStopMotion and iMovie, as this is the first time i have used these programs i have had to spend about 5-10 minutes figuring out the basics but i know them now and it would be much easier to do if i was asked to do it again.

I finished my animation, i had to change the story as i had little time left and i had to make a new character, but its better than nothing.

This is my finished video, i had to make the story different because i didn't have a  lot of time left to make the full video i wanted in the beginning.

Evaluation

Im happy with the outcome of my video but i know i could've done much better. Whilst making the video the art i enjoyed the most was creating the characters. this experience has taught me how to use the 'iMovie' editing software and also how to use 'iStopMotion' to film the video. The only problem i had was me not showing up to enough lessons. If I was ever to do this again i would change everything thing, the plot wasn't very good and the film itself was very jumpy as it was rushed. the only thing i would change about the characters is that i would clean them up and ad some new ones

Audio

the sound i  used for my animation was called Sephiroth. i was composed by Peter Anderson. I took it into i movie and put it over the top of my animation and mad it fade out at the end.

background

I have taken a background image of a fantasy world off the internet. I took this image into Photoshop and Printed it out in A3 size to use for my animation background.

all characters

All my characters that will be in the movie.

today i've created a dagger and a sword for my main characters, i will start animating next week

today i've created some weapons for my characters, one of them got a spear and two of them will be getting swords

today i added more to my storyboard and developed my idea on how it will turn out

i have chosen the theme for my animation, it will be the monster i created joined by two small people and they will be fighting a devil. This battle will take place in a colosseum (images will be added next week).

movie with audio

this is my original claymation done as a class exercise to learn more about how to do animation, but added some audio to it. its almost finished now, i need to added a title screen and credits and i will be finished.

i used garage band to add the audio, this made it very easy and fast.

 my movie was too long for the song so i had to slightly loop it. i did this by dragging from the top right corner of the track to the end of the movie.

this is an example of lego animation. this is just on of the many types of animation.

this is a flash animation. this is very advanced and would be very tough to pull off. i will be avoiding this as its not very easy to get a good animation from.

revenge of the pig

This is the video i edited. it is called 'Revenge of The Pig!' I edited it using imovie. i used the far far away title screen as a reference to 'Star Wars Revenge of The Sith.' for the credits i just used the standard scrolling text on a black background.

arts challenge

My arts challenge will be based on animation.
i would like to one day be able to create something like this. im not very good but i would like to get better and work towards this skill level

what i want to do for my arts award

I would like to learn to develop my skills in animation through learning how to use animation software to produce my own animation. This will mean having to learn how to use new programs like 'iStopMotion' and 'iMovie' for editing as well as making my own characters out of modelling clay.

weaknesses and strengths

My main strength is probably digital imaging (mainly photoshop). I really enjoy it and would like to do more of it.


The things i would like to improve on are my drawing skills o that the characters come out better each time i make a new animation.
In the future i will use my time more effectively so that everything  is smoother.
I would like to learn many new skills in animation so that after college i can use my new skills to try and get a job.
